On 1 August, Switzerland celebrates its national holiday, and we at Deep Impact have every reason to celebrate: our 12th anniversary. This is a wonderful occasion to reflect on why we decided to develop in Switzerland and to bring talent from all over the world here, despite the higher development costs. We are firmly convinced that complex technical problems can only be solved through close cooperation and personal contact.
Today is a very special day, because we are not only celebrating the Swiss national holiday, but also the 12th anniversary of Deep Impact. I look back with great joy and gratitude on the past years and I am very proud of everything we have achieved. As CEO and owner of Deep Impact, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on a few important decisions and explain why we decided to develop in Switzerland.
Switzerland stands for quality, precision and innovation – values that are deeply rooted in our corporate culture and are very close to our hearts. Despite the higher development costs compared to other countries, we are firmly convinced that investing in our Swiss base offers a decisive advantage. Switzerland’s high quality of life and strong education policy attract talent from all over the world, which gives us the wonderful opportunity to put together a highly qualified and diverse team.
We have deliberately chosen to concentrate our development projects in Switzerland. We are convinced that complex technical problems can only be solved effectively through close collaboration and personal contact. Physical proximity is a great asset for us, as it enables us to make quick decisions, communicate efficiently and develop creative solutions together. Even though remote working is becoming increasingly popular, direct interaction is still indispensable for us. Our modern offices in Winterthur provide the perfect setting for promoting innovative ideas and strengthening team spirit.
Another reason why we produce in Switzerland is that we can rely on a stable and reliable infrastructure here. We are very pleased that our employees can work in a safe and pleasant environment characterised by political stability, an excellent healthcare system and good transport links. This is also reflected in the extremely high level of satisfaction and productivity of our wonderful team.
We are very happy to have so many different people on our team. At Deep Impact, people from over 21 countries work hand in hand. This cultural diversity is a wonderful asset, as it opens up new perspectives and innovative approaches that are simply indispensable in today’s globalised world. Our international employees not only bring technical expertise, but also different cultural backgrounds and experiences that enrich our company and help us to develop globally relevant solutions.
In summary, the decision to develop in Switzerland and to bring international talent here, despite the higher costs, was absolutely right. It enables us to deliver the quality and innovation that our customers expect from us. On this special day, I would like to thank our great team from the bottom of my heart for their tireless commitment and look forward to many more successful years with you.
