The Holcimpartner.net platform, developed by Deep Impact, has revolutionised digitalisation in the building materials sector, earning it the gold medal in the Business category at the Best of Swiss Web Award 2019. This platform simplifies the historically complex sales processes of Holcim, a leading global building materials manufacturer with over a century of history in Switzerland.

The challenge:
The sale of standard products such as concrete, cement or gravel is astonishingly complex. Products have to be differentiated according to application, with variable prices and conditions per construction site. Holcim was faced with the challenge of digitising its historically grown and completely offline-oriented sales processes.

Solution:
Deep Impact developed a customised solution that was closely integrated with Holcim’s SAP system. An intuitive wizard now allows customers to easily configure their products, reducing the need for advice and the likelihood of errors when placing orders. The platform simplifies pricing for each product configuration and individualises it for each construction site and each customer. In addition, customer documents are integrated directly into the front end, which represents significant added value.

Results:
The digitalised platform has significantly improved accessibility and efficiency for small and medium-sized customers. Orders can now be placed around the clock and at short notice on all end devices. The platform is experiencing steady growth in orders and is very popular.
